In Katherine Henshaw's lowest times, during trauma and depression, books and her imagination were her escape from the reality that hurt too much.

Now that she's healed, she writes to help others find a moment of peace, and maybe, hopefully, find a reason to smile or even laugh.

After many years of learning to turn her imagined characters and alternate realities into entertainment, through trial and error and constructive criticism from other readers and writers, she found that she was ready to do as so many successful writers have suggested, and ‘write what you know’ and ‘write for yourself’. And so she did.

Katherine currently resides in suburban Melbourne, Australia. A former data analyst and current freelance writer and domestic engineer, Katherine enjoys making up imaginary worlds and people while completely sober, and writing it down so others can use it to ignore their chores. Her years of living in her imagination translates into fantastical worlds and crazy adventures.

Katherine Henshaw’s 'Once Upon A ...WHAT?' is the first novel in the Once Upon A Trilogy series, and was written for the young woman that she had once been, the young woman who was enduring trauma and about to face the hardships of living with and overcoming Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Clinical Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia and all the symptoms and health issues that arise from those conditions.

Then it was edited for everyone else.

Once Upon A ...WHAT? is Katherine Henshaw’s debut novel. She hopes you enjoy reading it as much as she enjoyed creating it for you.
